Topic: Pegasus and ATT.YAHOO.com

Greetings,

I am in need of technical help with Pegasus 4.51; operating platform, MSWin XP; ISP, ATT.Yahoo via Wildblue satalite, and WebRoot antivirus.

First, I will tell you that I have three other Pegasus mail boxes that are set up in the identical way and I have no problem with them.  I have been using my main mailbox in the identical way for over four years

On the new mail box when I attempt to send or receive mail I get the message -

A network error occurred during connection to the host.

The Trace showing end of connection message reads -

15.  Peer connect failure (the host refused the connection).

Sometimes I also get the message that the user name or password is incorrect.

When I go to the ATT.Yahoo mail web page and log in  with the new mail box user name and password I have no trouble at all in receiving and sending e-mail, i.e., the user name and password are valid and correct.

I have checked the Pegasus mail box settings over and over again.  I have deleted the Pegasus program and started over again.  I have been on the telephone with ATT tech support and Wildblue tech support with no resolution - they literally throw up their hands.

The mail box settings for Outlook and Pegasus are identical.  Outlook works; Pegasus does not.  WHY?

I very much prefer to use Pegasus.
